Successful commissioning of an FC-PCSU-1000 at BASF in Antwerp

Antwerp, Belgium, 30.09.2021, Indrivetec AG has successfully commissioned an FC-PCSU-1000 for a 1 MW / 5.8 MWh NAS® long-term stationary battery storage system, at a site owned by the chemical company BASF in Antwerp.

In this project, Indrivetec demonstrated again successfully its expertise in power conversion and energy storage systems, with system integration, electrical installation of the batteries and commissioning of the energy storage system.

BASF New Business GmbH (BNB), a subsidiary of BASF, had contracted Indrivetec for this innovative project.

The FC-PCSU-1000, with its integrated energy management system IDT-EMS, is one of four Power Conversion System solutions for the NAS® batteries, distributed by BNB. The other systems as FC-PCSU-250, FC-PCSU-500 and FC-PCSU-750 complete the NAS® product portfolio. NAS® batteries are sodium-sulfur batteries designed for cost-effective long-term power storage. Manufactured by NGK Insulators Ltd, the batteries have been used in stationary storage applications worldwide for more than 15 years.

We would be very pleased to present you our Power Conversion System FC-PCSU for NAS® batteries at the ees Europe trade fair in Munich (booth B6.140), October 6-8, 2021
